My first quilt came about not from any interest in quilting, but from me saying something dumb to my wife. She was looking at buying some art for the wall that the head of our bed was against and I said, “if there is an earthquake it will fall and kill us. ” Thus after a year of my wife showing me potential tapestries every morning, my first quilting project was born after I said something else dumb, “I will just make a quilt”
